Tickets for All Public Running Events Are Available 1 Month Prior to All Events
On the final Sunday of every month from April to September a date is allocated to allow for parents to hire Ravensprings Park for their child's birthday party up to a maximum of 50 Guests.
You are privately hiring the entirety of our site with both railways operating during the party, you have access to the clubhouse (which has a small kitchen for food preparation, a fridge, kettle, tables and chairs etc). As well as standard W.C's, we also have a disabled access toilet with baby change facility if needed.
An important safety note to brief your guests about is that children riding our trains will need to be able to sit upright AND be able to make contact with footboards on our carriages. Those who cannot, must be accompanied by a parent or older child who can meet these requirements. Shoes are also a requirement of travel. It remains at the discretion of our staff to refuse a ride for any safety related reasons, but we will always endeavour to help find an appropriate safe solution where possible.
If the weather is fine, we also have some external chairs and tables which can be used in the event you want to move your guests outside from the clubhouse.
We do ask that you tidy the clubhouse after the party and remove any rubbish from site as we do not have a collection from the kerb.
*A detailed breakdown of facilities is included at the foot of this page
We charge £250 for the party - trains will run from 14:00 to 16:00 - you can access the site from 13:00 for any preparation work. Guests should park on the road unless disabled access is necessary (by pre-notification) as we close the gate just before the session to eliminate the chance of pedestrian and vehicle collisions.
You must be ready to leave by 17:00 at the latest.
Complete the form below, which will be automatically sent to our party co-ordinator.
The large grounds include two tracks, a club house and grassed area which is ideal for picnics whilst also providing a safe area for children to play in between train rides.
Sorry: We do not allow ball games
We have limited on-site parking for pre-booked disabled visitors, members or visitors with locomotives.
Members of the public are requested to park on the road, but please park courteously so as not to inconvenience our neighbours.
Our 7 1/4” gauge track is well over 1000 ft long. It has a 2 platform station with passing loop, an additional diversionary loop and tunnel, all protected by a colour light signalling system.
Multiple gauge 2 1/2”, 3 1/2” & 5” gauges on an approx. 660 feet circular loop which operates the immediate perimeter of the grassed main area.
Our clubhouse will be entirely at your disposal. Feel free to decorate it for your party or use the kitchen to prepare hot snacks for your guests.
All we ask is you leave the clubhouse in the same state as you found it.
We have a disabled toilet with baby change facilities and separate male and female closets.
